Connect your AI agent

Feedmesh has an MCP server, the standard way AI apps use outside tools. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Muse, Cursor or another MCP app once, and it can read your feeds, search them and pull up articles for you.

The server's address https://feedmesh.com/api/v2/mcp

When you add it, your AI app opens Feedmesh in your browser. Sign in if you need to, check what the app asks for, and press Allow. That's all: there's no key to copy.

Claude

ChatGPT

Add a custom connector (Settings → Apps & Connectors; custom connectors may need developer mode turned on) with the address above.

Muse, Cursor, VS Code and other apps

Add a remote (HTTP) MCP server, or a custom connector, with the address above. For Cursor, in ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "feedmesh": { "url": "https://feedmesh.com/api/v2/mcp" }
  }
}

Any app that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in works the same way.

What it can do

list_feedsYour feeds and categories, with unread counts
latest_articlesThe newest articles from some feeds, a category, or everything
search_articlesSearch the articles in your feeds
get_articleOne article, and its full text when asked (one article a call)
saved_articles, recently_readYour saved and recently read articles
feed_statusWhether a feed still works, and similar ones that do if it doesn't
my_usageToday's use and what's left
save_article, mark_readSave an article, mark it read (Plus)
mark_feed_readMark whole feeds, a category or everything read (Plus)
find_feeds, follow_feedFind feeds by topic, site or YouTube channel, and follow them (Plus)
create_category, move_feedMake categories and move feeds between them (Plus)
unfollow_feed, delete_categoryUnfollow a feed, delete a category; your agent asks you first (Plus)

Lists and search give titles, links and short summaries. The full text comes one article at a time, with get_article, when you ask your agent for it: like a browser's Reader View, not a download of your feeds. Each request and each full text counts toward the day's amount: on Free, 50 requests and 10 full texts a day. Feedmesh Plus has no daily request limit, 300 full texts, and lets your agent change your feeds: save and mark read, follow (20 new feeds a day), and organize them. Full texts are one count for MCP and the REST API together.

Before you build

The rules

The API, the MCP server and RSS app sync are for you: your own reading, your own AI assistant, and automating your own workflow, through your own account.

  • Lists, search and RSS app sync give titles, links and the feed's short summaries. The full text comes one article at a time, when you (or your agent, for you) ask for it, like a browser's Reader View.
  • Full texts are 10 a day on Free and 300 a day on Feedmesh Plus: one count, shared by MCP and the REST API. Account > Usage shows today's.
  • Don't use any of it to bulk-export articles, build datasets (to sell or otherwise), republish or redistribute publishers' articles, or train, fine-tune or ground AI models, or feed an AI product, search index or RAG system that serves anyone but you.
  • One account per person. Don't use extra accounts or tokens to get around the daily amounts.
  • Articles belong to their publishers. Read them for yourself, and link to them rather than copying them.

The legal version is section 5 of the Terms of Service. Feedmesh may limit or stop access that breaks these rules. Not sure whether something fits? Ask at [email protected].
