1. Introduction

Feedmesh ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Feedmesh website (feedmesh.com) and mobile application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. By using Feedmesh, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

When you register for a Feedmesh account, we may collect:

• Email address
• Username
• Password (encrypted)

2.2 Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information when you use our Service, including:

• RSS feeds you subscribe to
• Reading preferences and history
• Device information (device type, operating system, browser type)
• IP address and general location information
• App usage statistics and interaction data

2.3 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and improve our Service. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

2.4 Mobile App Services

• Push notifications: If you turn on notifications for a feed, we store a push token issued by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (or Apple's push service), an identifier the app creates for your installation, your device platform, and your notification settings (which feeds, and any keywords) so we can tell you about new articles. Google or Apple deliver each notification, which contains the article's headline and feed name. Signing out removes that device's push token and identifier; turning a feed's notifications off removes its settings; deleting your account removes all of it.
• Crash reports: The Android app reports crashes to Sentry: the error, the device model, operating system and app version, and a random identifier for the installation. Crash reports don't include your email address, your account, your IP address or what you read.
• YouTube videos: When you play a YouTube video inside an article, it plays in YouTube's embedded player, and YouTube (Google) receives the request under Google's privacy policy. Nothing is sent to YouTube until you press play, and Feedmesh doesn't share your account with YouTube.

2.5 Connected Apps and AI Agents

• What a connected app gets: When you connect an app (for example Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, through Feedmesh's MCP server) and press Allow, it can read your feeds and their articles, and if you allowed changes, save articles and mark them read, on your behalf. It never receives your password and can't see or change your email, sign-in methods or account settings. What the app does with what it receives is covered by that app's own privacy policy.
• What we keep: the app's name and the address it returns to (as the app gave them), what you allowed and when, the app's sign-in tokens (stored by us, never shown again), and how many requests and full-text articles it used each day, to apply your plan's daily amounts.
• Disconnecting: Disconnect an app anytime on your account page; deleting your account removes your connections and their records.

2.6 Feedmesh Plus and Payments

Feedmesh Plus is sold through Paddle.com, our reseller and the Merchant of Record for Plus orders. Paddle collects your payment details, billing address and tax information under its own privacy policy, and Feedmesh never receives your card number. Paddle tells us that you subscribed, your plan, its status and renewal date, and its own customer and subscription identifiers, which we keep with your account to provide Plus.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Feedmesh Service
• Create and manage your account
• Sync your RSS feed subscriptions across devices
• Personalize your reading experience
• Send service-related notifications and updates
• Respond to your questions and support requests
• Analyze usage patterns to improve functionality
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We may share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf (such as hosting, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications, and Sentry for crash reports), under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Paddle: If you buy Feedmesh Plus, your email address and account identifier go to Paddle.com, which handles the order (section 2.6).
• Apps you connect: Your feeds and articles go to apps you connect, as you allowed (section 2.5).
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., court orders, subpoenas).
• Business Transfers: If Feedmesh is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
• With Your Consent: We may share your information with your explicit consent for any other purpose.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide you with the Service and for legitimate business purposes, such as complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: You can access and review your account information at any time through your account settings.
• Correction: You can update or correct your personal information through your account settings.
• Deletion: You can delete your account in the app (Settings, Delete Account) or request deletion by contacting us. See Delete your account.
• Data Portability: You can export your RSS feed subscriptions at any time.
• Opt-Out: You can opt out of certain data collection by adjusting your device or browser settings.

8. Children's Privacy

Feedmesh is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that we have collected information from a child without parental consent, we will promptly delete that information.

9. Third-Party RSS Feeds and Content

Feedmesh aggregates content from third-party RSS feeds. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party sources. When you click on articles or links from RSS feeds, you may be directed to external websites that have their own privacy policies.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ. By using Feedmesh, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other jurisdictions.

11. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of your information. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of Feedmesh after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
